The Little Lincoln’s finished their point’s battle with this
last race of the season on Saturday. Great racing each and ever time the club
raced all year. Rookie John Stevenson earned his first career win and the 2007
Delaware State Dirt Championship Little Lincoln title. The ending top five of
the feature were Duke Walsen (9), Emory West (7X), Pat McNeal (00), and Bobby
Williamson (41).
The championship was a battle between the top three all season long with mere
single close point numbers. The championship goes to the 2005 Little Lincoln
Vintage Stock Car champion, Bill Brittingham (4) of Felton, DE. The other top
two in points that battled all year were Jamie Wagner (3) with 20 points between
he and the champion and Pat McNeal (00) finished 3rd with only 2 points out of
2nd and only 22 shy of the Brittingham. For more information on the Little
Lincoln Vintage Stock Car Club visit their web at

So the racing may have ended for the 2007 season for now.

In addition to the hot action of super late models, a special division of racing by the Little Lincoln Vintage Stock Car motto is known as “A Blast From The Past.” These guys race cars from the era of 1949 to 1964 American made full size sedans. Not only that, when these guys take to the track they may only race 10-12 laps, but its all laps of pure racing. If you have never scene these guys, consider it an extra bonus to see them too. The Little Lincoln stock cars will be launching their new web site soon, meantime, you can still visit the web for, schedules, points, drivers, and rules at www.littlelincolns.com.

Great race once again with the Little Lincoln racing in their feature. New driver to Little Lincoln this year Matt Esham (18) started on the pole. Johnson (69) rode right to the point at the drop of the green followed by another new driver of John Stevenson (14A). On the first lap the stock cars were three wide going in turn 3 with Johnson, Foy, Stevenson. 2005 Little Lincoln Champion Brittingham followed along to claim second before lap 2 was all the way in. Now the attention was all on Johnson and Brittingham in the one, two spots. Lap 3 Stevenson was not slacking in action as he was right up there in third as he caught the two front runners as they battled. Lap 7 Daisey rolled to a stop off top side of turn 3 when the right side ball joint busted. Racing resumes with the field tight with Johnson and Brittingham on lap 8 both leaning wheel to wheel to each other in turns 1 & 2 now into turns 3 & 4. Lap 9 the two still were at it as Brittingham takes the lead in turn 3 on the outside line. Johnson was on the inside and may have had a tap from behind to help him get loose and around in the turn 3. Brittingham went on to win the feature.
